Beyond the Basics: Instant Ramen Hacks

Think of instant ramen as a blank canvas waiting for your culinary masterpiece. With a few simple tweaks, you can transform those humble noodles into a masterstroke of flavors and textures. Let’s start with these delicious hacks:

Upgrade Your Broth

ridiculously rich broth

At Mike’s Mighty Good, all of our craft ramen features ridiculously rich broth. From pork to chicken, you’re getting flavor-packed goodness with simple ingredients in every bite. This is broth the way it was always meant to be enjoyed. You’ll never go back to generic, watered-down broth with complicated ingredients again!

Protein Power

add your proteins

Ramen without protein is like a song without a melody. Traditional chashu pork is a classic, but don’t limit yourself. Explore the delicious possibilities with chicken, beef, or shrimp. Vegetarians, rejoice! Tofu soaks up those tasty broth flavors beautifully.

Season and Top

Furikake

It’s time to spice things up! Furikake (Japanese seasoning mix) and togarashi (chili pepper blend) add dynamic flavor. Don’t forget the classics: sliced green onions, nori (seaweed), garlic, and ginger. For a fiery kick, a dollop of kimchi will have your taste buds cheering.

Egg-cellent Addition

A perfectly cooked egg takes your ramen to the next level. For a soft-boiled egg, add it to the pot while the water is boiling, then cook alongside the noodles. For a luxuriously creamy broth, remove noodles from the heat and carefully crack an egg into the center. Gently stir after a minute or two for a silky, savory sauce.

These are just a few ways to ignite your instant ramen adventure. The possibilities are endless! As you become more confident, experiment with different vegetables, sauces, and toppings.
