Cheesy Garlic Chili Oil Ramen
In this easy recipe, we're putting our own Mike's Mighty Good twist on the viral garlic chili ramen – by adding cheese, of course.
Begin by boiling water and cooking Mike's Mighty Good ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, set the noodles aside while you prepare the flavorful sauce.
In a small pot, heat up the neutral oil over high heat for about 3-4 minutes until it's hot and shimmering. While the oil heats up, grab a heatproof bowl and combine the minced garlic cloves, toasted sesame seeds, chopped green onions, and gochugaru.
When the oil is ready, carefully pour it over the garlic, sesame seeds, green onions, and gochugaru mixture in the heatproof bowl. Be cautious as the oil may splatter a bit. The hot oil will help release the flavors and aromas from the ingredients, creating a fragrant and delicious base for your ramen. To enhance the flavor of the sauce, add soy sauce and sesame oil to the mixture in the heatproof bowl. Give it a good mix to combine all the ingredients thoroughly.
Drain the cooked ramen noodles and transfer them to the heatproof bowl with the sauce. Place the American cheese slices on top of the noodles. The residual heat from the noodles will help melt the cheese.
Stir the noodles, sauce, and melted cheese until well combined. As you mix, the cheese will coat the noodles, creating a velvety texture. For an extra pop of freshness, sprinkle some additional chopped green onions on top.
This flavor-packed bowl combines the comfort of classic ramen with a twist of cheesy indulgence and a hint of fiery spice.
Mike’s Mighty Good noodles are steamed, not fried. They're organic, non-GMO, and made with simple ingredients.
