Date Night Recipes

You might have heard of Netflix & Chill, but just wait until we tell you about Noodles & Chill...

On any given stay-at-home date night, there’s a very good chance that we can be found slurping on a shared bowl of steaming ramen noodles together, Lady and the Tramp style.

But on a more practical note - whether it’s just-for-fun, an anniversary, holidate, or something in between - dates can serve up equal measures of hope and horror, especially if you’re just getting acquainted with each other.

Date night ramen

There’s often a kind of “no pressure!” pressure to do something *amazing* with your date, even if they insist that there isn’t. Fortunately, a stay-at-home date night is usually way more chill than going out to a fancy restaurant.

Recently, we’ve experienced the rise of instant ramen from broke-college-kid-staple to stay-at-home-foodie-obsession. Organic noodles swimming in rich broth and eaten with delicious toppings is just one of the reasons why ramen dates are the best dates.

We’d like to consider ourselves experts in the ramen world - and even a tad bit in the romance section too. *le sigh* So today, we’re sharing our favorite romantic dinner date ideas with you. From our Vegan Shiitake Mushroom Ramen for your vegan lover to a bowl of Chicken Katsu Ramen, these easy ramen bowls are sure to impress any date. And the best part? Even if your partner can’t cook, you both can enjoy putting these recipes together - because they are really that simple, and truly that fun.

Ramen Noodle Recipes Are the Best Date Night Recipes. Period.

As you can see, ramen noodles cover a wide range of palates; whether you’re a vegetarian or meat-lover, breakfast person or night owl, newbie or seasoned chef.

And let us not forget about the chopsticks. If you’re a natural, this provides an opportunity to demonstrate your impressive dexterity. If you’re still trying to get a grip (hehe) on these foreign tools, it will provide both of you with something to laugh about, and sneak in the fact that you’re able to be a good sport and try something new.

Another perk of opting for a ramen date night is that it won’t break the bank. Whether you’re going dutch - or footing the bill for all the accoutrements yourself - neither one of you will walk away from your date feeling like they just paid for a down payment on a house.

While our noodles are affordable, they taste just like what you and your date would order at a ramen restaurant.

The next time you’re looking to set the stage for romance, do it over a hot bowl of fully loaded ramen noodles. You can thank us later.

You might even find the current object of your affection is your noodle bowl itself rather than the person sitting across from you. But however the date goes, odds are you’ll both agree on the fact that ramen noodles hit all the right notes, and making it together was an evening well spent.
